Merkurs

I would like to have your Merkur razor blades, and so would many others. Just give your blades to someone who appears worthy to receive them. You are a dirty rat for making others compete for your razor blades.

My grandfather shaved with a straight razor for many, many years. Finally, one year my Dad and I got him a DE razor for his birthday, all in a nice case and everything. At first, he was pretty excited and thought it would be a great improvement and save some time also. The first time he used it he n...

No one has answered, and it's getting late. I don't know much about these matters, but I'll suggest Barbasol after shave. It costs only $1.50. At least on person answered you.

***LOL. That's the way I felt about DE razors back in 1967. They gave me the creeps. ***

Come to think of it, I actually miss the Lionhearted fellow.

***I saw the nickname of 'Lionheart' in 'the shave den'. ***

Are our posts going to Google search?

I answered a post referring that person to : badger and brush (dot) com. What I meant was the Italian barber in Florida. Today I made a search and learned that my incorrect post ended up in the Google search. What I want to know is if we should be careful about our post? Maybe we could give the wron...

I was happy with the two razors that I bought from Pauldog here. I guess I'm not too fussy. He sells the Feather portable and the Lux razor from Poland.

When a person tries to communicate, he must use enough words. Often I have used few words and was unsuccessful at getting my meaning across. And when communicating at a forum like this, I must do pretty much typing. So that I must use enough words and be a skilled typist. Now here is what I did not ...

I must repeat my criticism of the video. ***That guy gives bad example for the correct shaving order. I use that picture of a man who looks like Alfred Hitchcock. There the shaving order is: right sideburn, right cheek, left sideburn, left cheek, right side of neck, left side of neck, center on neck...

Good on ya! May I ask your blade of pleasure? ***It was easy for me. I just took a dollar and bought five Personnas that are made in Israel from the Family Dollar Store. Whose duty is it to give advice?

I've been shaving for a long time, but not with a DE razor. I'd rather let others who've been using the DE for a long time to give advice.

I didn't come up with a great idea to protect the razor and the blade. My solution was to use a VHS case and then tape the razor with its good blade in there. Then handle this case real careful like.

Is this discussion leading to the conclusion that one apply the shaving cream and then shave immediately? That's the idea that I get. And then we should omit letting the lather remain on the skin for three minutes .

The Bic sensitives cost about twenty cents a piece. I've gotten about eight shaves from one.

The ASR sensitives cost about ten cents a piece. I've gotten about four shaves from one.

Both of these work well.

The ASR's aren't hard to find.

The term 'whiteheads', is it used any more?

If I shaved an area too much, small whiteheads would appear. Well, maybe only one since I'm getting more skilled with a DE razor. These may be called 'razor burn' now. I'm surprised that I haven't seen the term 'whiteheads' here.
