Re: Coates Rose cream

Coates rose is fantastic stuff. The scent is not too in your face and you need so little to get a great lather.

Closest to Coates scent-wise

Thanks to the offer on the Selling and Trading forum, we can now get tubes of Coates cream, which is great 'cause Coates Lavender is my favorite cream of all time. Coates Rose is more subtle than other rose soaps I've tried, so that's my fave rose. I also like Coates Sandalwood. While I plan to stoc...

Re: Coate's Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Lime, Rose, Almond & Laven

Would someone be willing to send me a tiny sample of the Sandalwood? I've never tried it and might stock up, but would like to know what it's like first. Just a small blob, enough for one lathering.

Pay It Forward Offer:

I'd forgotten how faint the Coates Almond scent is, so I don't think I'll be using it. Rather than let this fine performer sit on my shelf, I will offer a full tube free of charge to an active member in the U.S. I'll pay shipping. PM me.

Re: Coate's Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Lime, Rose, Almond & Laven

The only Coates I never tried is Sandalwood. What's the scent like? Real sandalwood or just in the ballpark? Or really different like Vulfix sandalwood?

Re: Coate's Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Lime, Rose, Almond & Laven

By the way, anybody want to trade a tube of sandalwood or rose for almond? (then again, maybe I'll just order another batch!)

Re: Coate's Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Lime, Rose, Almond & Laven

Got my Lavender a few days ago and am enjoying shaving again with my fave cream of all time. Got a tube of rose (lovely stuff) and a couple of almond (forgot how subtle that fragrance was).

Thanks!

Re: The Body Shop

I like the Body Shop maca root cream's performance but don't care for the scent. I prefer the original scent and have half a tub, which I'm babying.

Relearning to use a Merkur

I just got a lovely Merkur 1904 razor. I had one a few years ago, but sold it and switched to the Gillette Tech. Shaved with the 1904 this morning and was reminded immediately that the blade gap, heft, etc. are different. It's gonna take me a while to relearn how to use it. Any technique tips for th...

FS: Muehle synthetic

I just got a Muehle 19mm knot synthetic (the latest version 2.0) and it's just not for me. The handle is faux ivory, and the brush is in like-new condition. I paid $30 and am selling it for $27 [5/24 reduced to $25], shipping included within the US.

WTT for Erasmic Shaving Stick

I've been on a kick lately trying budget soaps that have been around for ages: Palmolive stick, De Vergulde Hand, La Toja, etc. I want to try Erasmic, but don't have anything else I need to order online, so to save shipping, I thought I'd see if anyone wants to trade an Erasmic shave stick for a sti...

Savile Row silvertip brushes are really good and come in various sizes. The knots are denser than Vulfix and the tips very soft. Good for soaps and creams. I have an 18mm Savile Row that is perfect for face lathering.
