some people might enjoy the scrubbing effect of the brush, granted. but to say that physically this then somehow affects the position of the individual hairs in the lather and has them all 'standing to attention' (for want of a better phrase) rather than lying flat (i never have this problem with st...

For me personally, exfoliation is not a brush function. The razor does that job!

there is nothing that i dislike about shaving.

here we have turned, what most men view as a chore, into an enjoyable pastime and hobby. that is a pretty decent state of affairs.

yes, i've been using thai alum crystal as a deodorant for quite a few years now. cheap, natural and no nasty chemicals.

has anyone ever tried the osma shaving soap? seems to have alum in it as well, which is interesting.

the highly coloured ones such as e.g. trumper violet.

some folks find they spoil the whiteness of the tips and don't like using those creams for that reason. it's purely asthetic though. no cream as far as i know does actual damage to the brush as such.

in the uk it is illegal for a driver to run over a dog and not report it to the police. cats on the other hand have no such luxury.

this guy is just starting off. i would suggest let him use a cartridge or disposable razor as they tend to be more forgiving in inexperienced hands, but also a badger brush and quality soap to make the lather, rather than any of the canned stuff. as long as he's wetshaving that's the main thing. the...

i would suggest either a simpson duke 2 in best or a rooney style 1 / size 1 silvertip. on balance i would prob go for the rooney style 1 / size 1. it has everything you are looking for: badger. within your budget. quality make. excellent for both soaps and creams. dense, but not super dense. it's a...

i have a puck of the oxford and cambridge and also the no.88. i picked both up on ebay 6 months ago at about £10 each.

i've only used the oxford and cambridge so far and it is a top performer. the scent is just ok though. the no.88 is sitting in storage.
