A Drearier Day In Paradise

If some days are better than others it only stands to reason that some days suck. However, even the dreariest days don’t get me down; I still head out with camera in hand trying to find the extraordinary in an otherwise miserable day. Re: Boso Peninsula, japan

Thank you, Clive. I for got to add: The Boso pictures were shot with a Sigma SD1 Merrill camera in raw format and converted to jpeg with the Sigma photo pro 6 software. The software was set to automatic, I didn't manipulate anything. The reason I like to use a Sigma SD1 Merrill is because it's a dig...

A dreary day in paradise

Not every day can be bright and sunny, but we can make the best of what Mother Nature deals us. Simply amazing! I hope you have plenty of provisions on hand; especially a well stocked wine cellar. You may be stuck in the house for a while.

Re: Playing with the Sony A7II & 50mm M-mount lens

I can't describe why, but the colors look so warm and life-like. Mike, I agree with this. Great photographs! A lot of your shots remind me of an inner city here, except neat and clean. Chris Gentlemen, thank you for the kind remarks. As for the colors looking warm and life like, I can only attribut...

Re: Lion at the Zoo

Barry, I'm not a big fan of tweaking photos. I prefer to completely compose the picture when I take it and let it stand as is. However, I must admit that I will straighten out a photo on my computer if it is a bit crooked. That being said, I think your image of the lion is excellent as it is. v/r Mike

Goofing off over the holiday season

I'm a couple of weeks into using the Liggett bar and I have to say I like it. I'm at the temporal stage at which my hair usually gets a mind of its own (i.e., a haircut is due any day now). But it's been much better behaved while using this shampoo bar. The only downsides I can note is that it will...

Chris, a 4x5, this is certainly a surprise! And yet, it shouldn't be. A view camera is a natural progression for a film purest like you. Your result is stunning; I can't wait to see where this camera leads you.
