Re: Atlantic City Casino Barbershop Shaves
John et al: I have probably had about a half-dozen barbershop shaves in my life ... all but one with straights ... and none of them was as good as the shaves I get when I shave myself. A couple of those shaves were at Trumper's in London years before the various regulations about razors, etc. went i...

Re: Problem with some shaving creams getting hard . . .
According to the people at Trumper their shaving creams have a shelf life of about 3 years. I have my doubts about that when it comes to tubs but I suspect an unopened metal tube of almost any cream would be good for at least three years and probably longer. I have used tubes of Trumper's Almond tha...

Re: You only get two razors; which & why
The two I have and use: Futur and Power Fusion.
My guess is that over the past 60 plus years I have owned and used
25 or more razors. These are the two best ... so far!

Re: Hello all, so tired of electric, need to change!
You might want to try a combination ... use the electric to get the heavy stuff off and then finish with any of the razors and blades recommended (except Feathers which I think are too sharp for someone not experienced in wet shaving ... and even for a lot of people who are from what I read here) un...

Re: Trumpers creams
Squire, I would like to think you're right but I would have to have Gordon's vote, too. My wife, who uses disposables, is ineligible. Fortunately!

Re: Trumpers creams
Craig, Gordon, others, you can be sure that Trumper and the rest of the high-end Brit companies read these forums with care (the Trumper people confirmed that they do in an e-mail to me) and are aware of what is being said. However, they do not respond because they say that anything they say one way...

Re: Trumpers creams
Gordon, it will continue as long as people buy the soaps. If the soaps are as bad as reported (I have not used soaps for decades) then they will deservedly die in the marketplace as all inferior products do or else the companies marketing them will improve the soaps and they will survive, perhaps ev...

Squire, I'm not so sure about the young part because I am old and dumb and still have a lot of fun. Maybe it is the dumb part that needs to be consistent.

Re: Trac II success
Gary, that may be a Canadian version of the TRAC11 because when the razor was introduced in Canada 1 million sample razors were distributed to various households across Canada and many ... if not all ... had squared shapes. In time various companies made knock-off razors for the cartridges and this ...

Re: Trumpers creams
I am one of those members Gordon referred to as not getting any bad pots of Trumper creams. I have been a devoted user of Trumper creams for more than 40 years and have never had a bad shaving soap or cream. I have had scents that I didn't like but the products were always fine. Now, my experience l...

Re: Help
Gary: How could I ever doubt you ... even un soupcon ... and all is well now. It was my ignorance of using PMs that confused me. I should note that my grandmother was from your part of the world and crossed the Great Plains in a covered wagon when she was about 6; she said the Indians never attacked...
Re: Help
Squire, thanks. Gary, I am able to PM myself and it goes through without staying in the Outbox and I got a PM from Squire; however, when I replied to his PM it remained in my Outbox so you may be right. I gather Chris is out of town so I will wait until he returns to be sure. Anyway, thanks for the ...
Help
Help: I am logged but cannot send or reply to PMs. They sit in my outbox. I have no idea what the problem is because two of the PMs are to the same person I have been sending and receiving PMs from for some time. Two are to the Administrator but don't go either. Clearly I can use the Forums and read...
