When I saw this thread I thought the good Doctor had posted. Until I saw the original date.

Re: new razor relaeases

Since the heads are all the same, all these 'new' razors shave exactly the same.
One is just paying for a fancy handle. I just buy the originals and am happy with the great shaves I get.

Re: razorock and quality

I've noticed that the quality of the Razorock soaps has declined with each new version that comes out.
The original XXX is still the best of the whole bunch of croaps.

Re: Blenheim Bouquet tallow soap on the chopping block

Gary, thanks for the information on the BB. I might just get me a current one and use up the bad one I have as a bath soap.

Re: Blenheim Bouquet tallow soap on the chopping block

I have the tallow EF I got a few years back and it's amazing in terms of scent and performance. On the other hand, my BB is not tallow based and it is downright awful in terms of performance. My Sartorial (not tallow) is a pretty decent performer and smells pretty nice. The Bayolea performs fairly d...

Re: Heads Up! TOBS Cedarwood shaving cream

I can't wait to try it out. The funny thing is I had to throw out a Charles Tyrwhitt Lemon and Cedar cream the other day because it was about 10 years old.
It wasn't salvageable and looked pretty dried up. This new TOBS cream should be real nice just like the rest of their scents.

Re: Floris soaps performance and scents

I'm disappointed that they didn't go back to tallow for the soaps.
And the price scares off quite a few of us. I've only got the 89 soap but with this new formulation, I don't think I'll be picking any more up any time soon.

Re: Floris soaps performance and scents

I have the Floris 89 and love the scent. I don't know if they fixed them or not but mine lathers and performs very well.
It's one of my favourite soaps although it is quite pricey.

Re: Palmolive shaving soap & cream has been discontinued.

All this talk about discontinuing Palmolive sticks got me worried.
Before I ordered some, I went to check my stash and realized I have more than plenty of them left.
It even surprised me at how many I had.

Gary,
I still say that Taylor's creams (and soaps for that matter), offer excellent value for the money and perform as well as any other.
Plus, look at all the variety of scents one can get.

Re: Truefitt and Hill Almond Cream

I love T&H creams as well, but I'm disappointed with the Sandalwood cream. The old one had a scent of old or burned wood.
The new one is more of a traditional Sandalwood, which is nice but I still prefer the older scent.
As well, they are very hard to find, especially the Lavender and Rose scents.
