Parat -How does it shave?

How would you categorize the shave of a British Parat? Is it similar to a regular Super Speed or is it more aggressive?

BTW - So I have been using my NEW with a feather, and get some pretty awesome shaves. But I am still doing 3-4 passes plus touch up for BBS. So - thinking of this thread - I thought hey maybe I can get BBS with less passes with the feather in my red tip. WRONG. Bad idea. No nicks, so I think I have...

The only thing I found that worked was give away the MWF and instead use the numerous soaps out there that are less finicky to lather. Some guys seem to love it though. I hope it works for you. Clint Thanks Clint. I'll let you know how it turns out. I don't expect to receive it for several days as ...

seriously i really dont treat the wool fat differently than the other soaps i use and have used. i have hard water too. if anything is different at all with mwf, it might take a little more time to get it to the ultimate lather. but not much more marc I agree with Marc here and with with Wendell an...

That sounds like sound advice. I'll take my time working the lather and add water slowly. Thanks

MWF -What are the secrets to a good lather

I just pulled the trigger and ordered some Mitchell's Wool Fat. What are some of the secrets to generating a good lather? I have heard it can be difficult with MWF and I want to reduce my learning curve as much as possible. If it matters, I typically bowl lather.

There is a C & E store fairly close to me. I can check to see if they have any Almond Oil Soap. If they do not have it, there is a C & E outlet in Palm Springs that I have been meaning to visit. It may be a month or so before I get out to Palm Springs.

Thanks for the warning about using feathers in the red tip. I think I'll start out with the Derbys. I agree with Ssilcox...just using the red tip is about as daring as I want to get.

How do you add an image?

I recently posted an item in the selling and trading forum but could not figure out how to add an image. I ended up having to create an album and then posted a link to the album. There has to be a better way.

I do see postings with an image so I know it is possible. What is the trick?

I received a sample of Tabac from Shaving Essentials several weeks ago and finally got around to trying it this morning. I'm sorry I waited so long because it is great! I love the lather (thick and slick) and the scent (once lathered) is pleasant. I'll be placing an order soon.
