Get a Progress and dial it down to 1.5

I started out with an HD too, and found it too aggressive. Switching to a Progress was the answer.

Now I can go back to the HD and get a decent shave, having got my technique to a better standard on the Progress.

As ever, YMMV.

I shave three or four times a week, and always start the week with a fresh blade. I'm sure some of my blades could go another shave or two, but why compromise on comfort/quality for what amounts to a few pennies? I'm all for the economy of DE shaving, but you can take it too far, surely?

I find these slightly sharper than my benchmark Trigs, but slightly less comfortable in use. A good to very good shave in both my Progress and my HD. Decent longevity. Like all Treet blades, excellent value. The retro packaging is a nice touch.

I'm always surprised I don't see these excellent blades discussed more on the shave forums as I find their price to performance ratio hard to beat. Clarke, Treet makes a variety of blades and these are the good ones. Frankly, I think they are the best of the half dozen varieties I've tried. My experience, surprisingly, has been the opposite. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but on the basis of my experiences with Derby blades, they're never in contention any more when I'm picking a blade from my sampler pack.
