I have done Myers-Briggs several times in my life, and the interesting thing is that I have been consistently off-the-scale introverted. Under the MB/Jung theories, however, that means, in simple terms, that I recharge "in my own space" rather than with groups. The last time I took the te...

I've moved from 4 passes down to 3, and my shaves are just as good. But I definitely need that 3rd pass to catch every last bit of stubble. the beard needs the 3rd or i have to shave all over again to go out at night wouldn't even dare try against the grain on the first pass -----------------------...

Re: 2 different feather blades?

I am just starting with feather blades so please my ignorance. I bought feather blades in a yellow pack of ten. Is there a packing of feather blades in black? If so, are they different? Are the black packaging blades available here in the US? i'm sure this topic has been done to death in prior mont...

Julius - Your nose? How do you manage to nick your nose? Must be huge  Dave - That's a good point. Feeling the beard growth pattern through the razor must be a great way to keep light on the pressure an pay attention to the task at hand. I'll give that a try. not really that huge, fortunately....

Re: beard growth pattern

It's become second nature to me - knowing my beard growth pattern. I don't think about it anymore. My hands just do the work on their own. While I was shaving this morning, I had a sudden awareness of how important it is to know this basic information. For me, it's paramount when shaving my neck, w...

Re: which english shaving creams are last for long time?

Truefitt> Trumper > TOBS

Keeping in line with cost. TOBS isn't that much of a loss for quality, but it isn't the other 2.

If you keep them too long, they will harden.

Then I treat them like soap (or Castle Forbes) from that point on.

Nothing is lost.

My preference for the past year. Good thing as I purchased 200 or so at some time.

3 and out though, I won't risk a 4th shave after clinical observations.

Avocado 8) Never met a flavour of 6 that I didn't like (except for the hypo-allergenic). Consistency has varied for purchases, running from soupy to perfect. Even the soupy was fine, it's all going into the same mixing bowl for the brush and water. Avocado and lemon lime is currently on the rotatio...

punishing shave 2/3 of the time and great shave 1/3 of the time. finally broke it trying to put it back together. then got a Futur and use nothing else. Breaking it I understand. It is undoubtedly delicate in comparison to the Futur. I've managed to do this too. However, given that the blade angle ...

Futur vs. Vision. If event there was a case of YMMV. I’ve lately been comparing them back to back, and I for one prefer the Vision, only because it can be adjusted to a blade gap slightly below the Futur’s, where I prefer it. I think the level of ability with a DE razor amongst our members has reac...

I think the Feather is the best, but you need to be careful with it. Still, it simply does a better job more easily than others, I believe. The Iridiums and the 7 O'Clock Yellows are close behind. I still have a good supply of the Swedes and the Schick U.S. injectors, and the Crystal blades are a g...

What is the normal consistency of Castle Forbs shaving cream. Mine is like Kiwi shoe polish. Makes it difficult to work with! :x as i found when other creams hardened on me... i put a spoonful in my mixing cup. usually it takes 3 or 4 days to use up completely, the excess is ground into the ridges ...
