One thing I've learned in my avocation. We know as much, if not more about what happened 300 years ago than our own parent and grandparent's lifetimes. I'm sure excavating a mid 20th century trash dump in the UK could produce a Royal Yachtsman bottle easilly enough

It isn't politically correct to admire objects made from plants and animals now in danger of being lost. But the truth is they ARE beautifull and can be admired with the caveat of knowing the present precipice we all teeter on. I imagine someday people will look at old plastic stuff and wonder how w...

Joe, TOBS #74 became my signature ( but not only) scent after my magical encounter with the H.M.S. Romney vet's widow. I dropped by my mechanic friend David today. He was being swallowed Jaws like under the bonnet of a http://s7.postimage.org/m24w79xon/jaguar_mark_vii.jpg and said'OY mate, that you ...

Pete
'Catholic' actually encompasses the roman, eastern( orthodox) coptic, high church anglican and several small middle eastern sects.
What we share is a CATHOLIC sense that comic is seperated by cosmic by one letter.

HELP?
There was a brit T.V. comedy about soldiers in WW1. I've only seen bits and pieces, but they ended the series with them all going off to slaughter in the first battle of the Somme.
I've always thought it was a well measured end to a comedy about a rather
grim period of history.

I am sitting here with my thinning hair neatly groomed courtesy KENT comb and TOBS #74. My face- well general De Gaulle said 'Old age is a shipwreck' but I feel 'shipshape and Bristol fashion' after MWF and more TOBS #74. I walked down to my mechanic friend David's place and found him being swallowe...

A young male family member came to me( I'm the only vet in my family) about enlisting with all the innosense and enthusiasm every generation goes through.
I had him watch two movies:

Sometimes people think blade profiles are all about performance when in fact it's ease of manufacture. Hollowgrounds were first made en mass in Sheffield ( think of all those civil war daquerrotypes sporting fierce bowies) with grinding wheels. They produced a very fine edge but very prone to warpin...

About scuttles. I was looking at Julie's online video for Dirtybird scuttles. WIKIPEDIA states scuttles originally came with drain holes for SOAP. My observance of scuttles on EBAY confirms this. But past conversation and convention has soap going into a mug or cup? I use soap. I want a scuttle.I wa...
