Glycerin and Hard Milled soaps
I'm sure this has been visited many times so please bear with me but what is the difference between them. Does one lather up easier? I've been using creams with very good results but would like to try soaps again. My only experience was a short trial with Col Conk and I did not get very good lather ...

I can use either a Sensor or a Fusion and get a very good shave but not with the M 3. That one feels like sandpaper on my face. When I first started DE shaving, I also had some doubts that I could stick with it as I was not getting very good shaves and much more irritation than I had experienced wit...

When I started DE shaving I picked up a Parker 22R as my first razor. Its not a bad razor but for me it was agressive and I did not do so well with it until I learned better technique. Now I don't have any problems with it but I do prefer my other razors, a Gillette Slim adjustable and a Merkur 38C ...

Best shave so far
I've been at this a few weeks now and have been getting good results. I started with a Gillette slim adjustable and Proraso cream and got some good, close shaves. But I felt the Gillette's handle was a bit short for my hands and I ended up buying a Merkur 38C as I also thought I would like a heavier...

Cost had nothing to do with it as I have surely spent more on soaps etc than what it would have cost to stick with cartridge razors. And using canned gels and just about any cartridge razor other than a M3 I could get a good, non irritating shave. I first got interested when DE shaving came up as a ...

Moss scuttle
I've been looking for a good lathering bowl and came across some information today about the Moss Scuttle which some thought was great and others were less enthusiastic. Does anyone use one? Will it accomodate a medium size brush like the Rooney 3/2? I'm still in the newbie stages of wet shaving and...

Thanks for the information.I used a Gillette slim this morning and got much better results so I'll keep with it for awhile longer. My first attempt was with a Parker and it left me with maybe the worst shave I have had in my life. Not sure if I will ever use that razor again but I'm also sure lousy ...

Twin blade razors
I found this site quite by accident and have enjoyed reading many of the posts. I have not used a DE for many years and my first attempt back into it was not pleasant. Poor technique on my part I suppose and I'll stick with it for awhile but am curious about the twin blade razors found on Classic Sh...
