How does this compare with any of the Merkurs or other razors?

I read somewhere here on SMF that EJ brushes were decent for their density so a slightly smaller knot may not be that much of a difference. I've got no first hand knowledge wither way.

I got a reply from the English Shaving Company in regards to the knot sizes for their best badger brushes. They are as follows:

Brush size knot size
Small: 19mm

Medium: 21mm

Large: 23mm

Extra-Large: 25mm
