Just a guess, try drilling a small hole in the floor and drop a funnel in it to pour ammonia down there. Be sure that they are no longer under there before sealing off their entry hole.

MWF is different, but It works great. With my water, (I don't know if it's hard or soft.) It makes a thin, dense lather. Nothing like the kid in the Mr. Bubble commercial.
