L'Occitane Eau des Baux smells very much like Davidoff's Adventure EdT. I enjoy using it, but maybe not the best for very hot weather (i.e., where you're sweating). I have a dark horn with bulb shaped bristles and find it to be very good. Not as stiff at the '07 limited run but great just the same! I only use soaps so I cannot comment on how it works with creams. s~s I thought the same thing about the differences in the brushes. I think the hair may be a finer...

I can't recall, but isn't there a slight smile to that blade? Maybe try using a scything motion, rather than a straight pull, and see if that helps the cutting performance.
