I know this question is probably best asked elsewhere, but what is the advantage to rooting or jail breaking your android device? I have an Acer Iconia 500 Tablet I got a great deal on at the shop I work for and was wondering what else I could do with it if I "rooted it".

I do think you'll enjoy it. It seems to enjoy sharp blades and seems to do better with them (at least IMO). Take it slow and watch your angles and you should do fine with it.
