Oily residue after shaving

I have oily skin, and I notice that after shaving the cream (Proraso, for instance) leaves an oily film on my skin, even after thorough rinsing. What can I do to fix that? (Washing with soap after shaving can be irritating.)

Guys who get good at this can shave twice a day without creating any irritation. (I'm not there yet, but it's a lot better than a few weeks ago.) Maybe automotive rust remover?

It's an acid gel that you would put on with an old toothbrush, scrub, and rinse. Available cheap in a small bottle in an auto parts store.

I don't know if that's absolutely the best solution, it's just an idea.

I know this thread petered out some time ago, but I just want to find out if QED is still selling the same QED Man soap.

On the web site I see shaving soap in a jar, but no bar soap.
