i just got my gillette slim adjustable returned to me. i lent it out to a curious friend. i've noticed that compared to my futur the gillette is much lighter in weight and smaller. the gillette is so much lighter and compact that it feels like a sports car and the futur feels like the bismark battle...

nother topic from the newbie :D what is the difference in the head of the various merkur razors? everyone raves about the HD. is the HD head any different than the head on the progress? if not, why wouldn't everyone just buy a progress? i have a futur and notice that the top cap of the razor appears...

thanks! since the futur is brand new i'll give it a little lube. i notice that by adjusting the setting you can get the table that holds the razor to offest just a degree or two. maybe the lube will smooth this out. thanks again

does anyone know where i can get these blades at a reasonable price? west coast shaving has them for $34. per 100 but the shipping is 9.84
