I have taken Fatboy's apart. I have gotten as far as removing the center post and the silo doors assembly. I was not able to remove the bottom plate of the head. Adjusting the bars is fairly simple, I have done it several times. After all it brass and brass bends easily.

Mine stays on 3. Set it and forget it. Funny thing is I now shave with straights.

I'll offer this much. Once I found a setting that I could do 2-3 passes and T&C, usually just 2 passes and get BBS without irritation, I leave it at that setting. For me it is at #3. The shower head in the wife's bathroom has the same head as Mike's. I really like that head and has enough pressre with low usage. I am looking for one like Charlie's to put in my shower.
