I work for a large international (some say evil) corporation and the only thing they block is adult and social networking sites. That's OK by me.

I have the EJ with the 89 head. I was using a Gillette long handled black adjustable at a 3 setting. I would say that the 89 is not more agressive but for me I guess the shave angle is far superior. Go figure. It is great with Iridiums and not so great wit Kai blades. I can live with that. So far, i...

I got a new razor

I have been using Gillette long handled black adjustable for a while and I have Weishi and a Krona that see some use. All of them are good but are really starting to show their age. I just recieved a Edwin Jagger #86 with the black handle---the same head as the Muhle R89. It is really pretty but tha...

Thanks for the kind words guys. Dave, I started with a solid piece of wood and drilled out most of the material on the drill press with a forstener bit then made a template for the router using a pattern bit and finished up. Really the hardest part was getting the slot correctly located. Mat, you ha...

Swanky blade disposal

What I did was make a "cozy" for my ordinary blade box. A little dab of hot glue holds it in. A razor knife cuts the glue when the box is full and a new one goes in. http://s3.postimage.org/m096A.jpg http://s4.postimage.org/7Rzt9.jpg http://s1.postimage.org/HOsp0.jpg I have some in the wor...

Well, my mother in law IS pretty cool. She has been cleaning out her house to sell and I have received two Kronas (in original boxes), an injector, and an Old Spice mug. BTW, the mechanical pencil in the razor box turns out to be from the mid 1800's. Are the pictures really not coming out? They are ...

Daisy Safety Razor

I don't have a Daisy razor but my mother in law gave me a box for one. We hoped there was a razor in it because it rattled but that turned out to be a mechanical pencil. There is a picture on the front of the box of a GEM type razor. Does anyone know anything about these razors? http://s3.postimage....

I fill the sink a little more than half full with hot water and keep the mug in the hot water. I rinse the razor out in the hot sink water because it seems to get the razor cleaner than running it under the tap----especially if the water pressure is not that great.

Usually about 8:00 PM I take my six year old twins up to get them ready for bed. I have them brush their teeth and then put them in the shower. While they're getting clean I shave in a pair of khaki shorts and no shirt.

I bought the Wald #582 baskets that will hold grocery bags (pair of baskets mounted behind seat) and I love them! I got them from Niagra through Amazon. They collapse flat and are are really great. I highly recommend them.

MWF after a couple of weeks

I have to say that I had some high expectations for this soap. I was not disappointed. It provides great moisturization and lubrication and the scent is very nice. I'm still working on getting the water mixture juuuust right. Something like two and a half shakes of the brush before dipping into the ...

I know this sounds strange but my grandfather used to carry around the ivory bone that came from a raccoon's penis to use as a toothpick. Apparently this was quite popular in the 1940's.
