Re: Omega 10051

Brian, I have two 10051's and have had both for a couple years. They both broke in at about the same rate. I seem to remember that it took 25 or so lathers before they were well broken In with the ends nicely split.

Omega 10051

I like to face lather both soaps and creams. The little Omega boar 10051 (23 knot, 51 loft) is a terrific face lathering brush. At less than 10 dollars, one would be hard pressed to find a better brush at any price. Takes a while to break it in but then you will love it. I'm gonna use it tomorrow mo...

Buffalo Style Baked Drumsticks

Every once in a while our supermarket puts the family sized packages of chicken drumsticks or thighs on sale for a dollar a pound. The other day I bought a package of drumsticks. There were 14 in the package and the cost was about 3 bucks. In a large plastic bag put about a cup of flour, a tablespoo...

Re: Minimal Travel Gear

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. I have a travel tech that I have used before. Don't much care for the short handle, although it gives a good shave. My plan is just to experiment with a very minimal kit: disposable razor, brushless cream and after shave. I don't have any legitimate reason to g...

Re: Minimal Travel Gear

Thanks for mentioning the sizes of the cream and after shave. To be honest, I hadn't thought about it. One of our trips will involve some flying. Since we'll be going for a week we will check bags so I guess it should not be a problem.

Minimal Travel Gear

My wife and I have a couple of 1 week trips planned and I have been looking for a simple kit. After reading here about the Noxema/Kai disposables I thought I would give them a try. Here is my travel gear so far. Pretty good shave today with 2 passes and some clean up. I suppose things can change aft...

Re: tapatalk and shave my face

I got my first cell phone in 1988. Had to have it for business. It was hard wired into my car and as I recall it cost $1000.00. Today, I still have the same cell phone number although I have moved to several different cell carriers over the years. That was all fine as long as my company was paying f...

Hello from Texas

Hello All, After lurking for a long time I finally registered and look forward to participating in the conversation. I find SMF to be a very congenial and informative place. My shaving history is much like many others, I suspect. As a young man I began shaving with a DE Gillette and did so for years...
