Yup the cleaning button was kinda whizzy. I still have one in the razor vault but did not realize it was so hot, sexy and rare.

You've started out with one of the best razors there is IMHO. I think it is the Rocket and they are EXCELLENT razors.

Another prime example of why I so enjoy this forum.

Before I started evolving my shaving soap and cream options to other than the Old spice and Tabac scents if someone had suggested that I could put something that smelled of lilacs on me I would have cringed.

Wendell the shave was excellent every time but the showmanship was worth the price. Come to think of it the show was probably more fun to watch than to live but after a short introductory "trust me" stage we got along famously.

Looks like Old Spice had an early hold on you. That Old Spice shave mug would be sure to instill some sort of subliminal message.... so its not your fault. Resistance is futile.

The unopened bulk packs are quick and easy to count.
Its when you get down to loose five and ten packs that it gets to be work.

The Merkurs seem to hate me except for the slants. Wierd.
I use both the classic slant and the sledgehammer with every enjoyment but the futuristic Merkurs seem to have it in for me despite repeated overtures over the years.

Given what these razors go for in much better shape I would say that replating it would be like putting a $1000 saddle on a $5 horse.
But hey, if you think its worth sprucing up its your horse.

A big latte mug works well and I refer one that has a big enough handle that I can put my thumb easily through.
My thumb through the handle and the base of the mug cupped in my palm.
No way to drop it and you can be pretty aggressive in lathering up.
