Well, we've trod down this path once before. As I said then: I don't know why Teddy White would see the need to embellish that detail, but something tells me as President, Kennedy may have shaved with an electric. Being the latest 'sexy gadget' & the space age/new frontier and all. Just a hunch ...

I was just being a bonehead Sam! Just had to rib ya a little!

More experimenting? Cream you say? Try Barberside.com. Big tub of Lemon or Orange Sickle brush cream! Really neat shop with some good (small batch) product for offer. I would love to visit there if I was local!

Sam-

What is this "Trumpets" outfit you keep referring to?

Ron, another you might check out is Alabu soaps. They have a non (or natural scented) shave soap for around $6. I want to check them out too! They might be pretty decent, and more economical, than $30 dead stock.

Best,
Jared

Spenser, Do you see "parabens" listed anywhere on your Taylor Lavender ingredients? Or does it say: "Paraben Free" on the pot/tube? Murray, you were very sober minded to store-up on those AOS unscented jobs! I always was going to, but the damn price kept me from acting on it! Now...

Gary, FWIW... I think Q.E.D. glycerine soaps are a world class product for what they are! I wish you could buy the Limes, Neroli, Luxury Lather and Mocha Java in stick or bowl at any CVS, Walgreens or Walmart! They're fine products that I will sing the praise of! As to boar brushes: I've never used ...

Gordon, I stumbled onto these awhile back; and thought especially of you! The seller says: "they're fine glycerine shave soaps in the cool water 'type' scent!" Maybe I'll see what I can do (for you) about these....hmm? Perhaps, I could include, a nice vintage boar brush that...oh I dunno, ...

Hi. Well, Gary, I could ,but the way it's all stored in a couple closets...it would have to be dragged out etc. In other words a pia to photograph. Maybe someday. Think of an old corner magazine, cigar store, however, without any magazines or cigars in it. Like that! :o Thanks Chris, I appreciate it!

Trumper - Violet soft shave cream
Gillette - 'President' razor
Schick - Plus Platinum blade
Simpsons - 'Harvard' 5 brush
Trumper - "Milk of Flowers" after shave
Caswell Massey - small 250th anniversary flacon of "Tricorn" cologne

That ought to do.

Yes Gordon, I'm back or always peering from my vantage! Although on some cold winter nights, I wish I was in Tampa/St.Pete! Well guys...I waded through the toilet locker today for the Violet soft cream. I must confess something now however; not that we have any obsessive, unorthodox behaviors around...

Yes...the older Violet was much darker in appearance ,and the scent, very pungent & rich! I still have a couple of the tallow soap refills and 5 of the 'wide cap' tubes from Pasteur's. I'm fairly hopeful those will contain the decadent dessert!

Ron brilliant!

My own routine resembles Murray's to a tee. But I must ask: I thought you only shaved your upper-cheeks and neck area? That much care, time etc. for that partial shave zone?

And to turn the question back to: "don't tell me!"

So now Trumper has gone ALL plastic for their full range of creams!? I need more cream like another barking dog in my neighborhood ,but.....

I can't keep-up with this anymore...after the past 4-5 years!

geez!

I've never used one, but I like the looks of the all cream one offered by Georgetown Pottery. The Dirtybird ones, have a very appealing 'rustic' sort of look, that I kind of like also! Tough choice for me based on those two. I would go with the one that worked the best I reckon. Good luck with your ...
