No, I think that's all. Definitely don't heat it beyond the temperature of hot tap water.Shave4Fun wrote:I have some MWF that dried out.
I have it in a bowl with a little water for now.
Any other way to revive it?

Re: Mitchell's Wool Fat
My experience is a few years old, but I'm quite sure it's still valid: the Kent version and the Mitchell's version are exactly the same soap in every way; only the package is different.

Re: FS Rooney Finest Style 1 Medium
Here are my amateurish phone-camera pictures of the brush; I hope I've formatted them correctly for the site. Please note that in the second pic I misused the camera's flash in order to get the lettering on the back of the brush to show at all - that's why the colour is off. 20151118_115747a.jpg 201...

Re: FS Rooney Finest Style 1 Medium
Here's my response to a couple of good questions about the brush, so I don't end up answering them more than once. The handle has light scuffing/scratching on the flat part of the base from being set down, and the lettering is noticeably worn. Otherwise, the handle looks good to me; it's probably so...

Thanks for the responses! There are already a few people with a serious interest in this; I'll give each a chance in turn, to confirm they want it or to change their minds after seeing pictures (or coming to their senses ). I've replied to one PM so far... we'll see where that leads.

Re: Penhaligon's email campaign
Putting two disparate threads together, it seems sad to me that big-name respected companies that have been in this business longer than I've been alive are selling products inferior to what a first-time amateur can mix up in his kitchen on the week-end.

Re: Hello all, so tired of electric, need to change!
You might want to try a combination ... use the electric to get the heavy stuff off and then finish with any of the razors and blades recommended (except Feathers which I think are too sharp for someone not experienced in wet shaving ... and even for a lot of people who are from what I read here) u...

Re: Recommend shaving bowls?
I never considered that the ridges found in many shave scuttles could damage a brushes tips over time. This has me a bit concerned now. I don't think bumps or ridges are a problem; the only complaint I've heard (and that one clearly legitimate) was from a guy whose bowl had a sharp edge in its inte...

Re: Comment on using up products
If a person's actual aim (for whatever reason) is to use up the soap he has, then he should do it. ( Though in some cases I think it would be faster to simply make a habit of cutting each new soap in half and throwing away one of the pieces, achieving the same effect ). ..... A better answer would ...

Re: Best English creams/soaps for sensitive skin?
A very hearty thanks to all who took the time to reply. The response was certainly more than I expected. Fortunately, it appears my problem is solved, which means I don't have to forgo the glorious scent of ToBS Pink Grapefruit, which was the cream that resulted in the welts that prompted me to pos...

Re: Disposable Razors - don't laugh- best of what's availabl
And now that thought is planted in my head. You think that's bad. I just read this thread now, and the mixed metaphors have forced me to consider 7-11's new frozen burrito pudding. I think next time someone mentions disposable razors to me, I'll just say "Frozen burrito pudding from 7-11!"...
