You are quite right there. Although with the Marlborough I feel their description is pretty close. I just forgot how cloying I find a dominant cedar note. I never see much written about the Mayfair and am hesitant to purchase a bottle without really anything to go on. Maybe I will finally pick up a ...

Harris Mayfair?

I find myself developing a liking for Harris products. My daily cologne for some time has been Trumper's Spanish Leather but I am thinking of adding a Harris cologne to the mix. I recently received a small bottle of Harris Marlborough cologne. Unfortunately, I am not enamoured with it. To cut a long...

Upton Tea is a very good online retailer with a nice selection of Assam. They also offer a nice infuser basket that works infinitely better than those ball and chain things.

Well, I ended up purchasing both the Sandalwood and Pink.

The Sandalwood is brilliant. Great scent and feels fantastic.

The Pink also works very well. I like the scent, though not as much as I like the Sandalwood. Of the two, the Pink is gentler.

I prefer the soaps to the creams (both in terms of scent and performance). As Chris said, Sandalwood is quite different. The cream is okay but the soap is superb.

If forced to use only one soap it would be Trumpers Sandalwood or Harris Lavender. Since I am not under such a moratorium, I will also toss in Trumper Rose. I do not use creams often but liked the T&H Lavender when I had it. I use the Harris Lavender when I travel. As a caveat, I should mention ...

I have a bottle of Proraso but it tends to dry out my face. I was hoping the Harris would be gentler and, being a fan of Sandalwood scents, thought it could be a good one for me.

Now I am thinking I will give the Pink a go instead.

Putting the scent to one side, how does it compare to the Pink in terms of how it feels on the skin after a shave? Is it harsher? Or is it gentle like the Pink?

How does the Pink compare to the Harris Sandalwood aftershave? I am thinking of purchasing the Sandalwood but am hesitant as certain aftershaves do not work well for me.

To be honest, while it would be great if the Sandalwood is a solid aftershave, I am also considering it to use simply as a cologne.

I have no real specific requirements when looking at blends, other than I do not want anything added that is not from a tea leaf. By that, I mean no flowers, ginger, vanilla, etc. (with the exception of Earl Grey, I suppose). In general, I prefer Indian to Chinese tea. And I am a big fan of Ceylons....

Online Tea Shops

Anyone have a favourite?

I have ordered from Special Teas and Upton Teas. My preference is Upton, but I would like to find a couple more that offer nice blends.
