Maca Root cream stinks IME. I hated the scent and it wouldn't get off my brush so the next day, it would mix with whatever product I used.

I don't use creams anymore anyway but if I did, TBS maca root wouldn't be in my rotation at all.

He's getting to a point where he's going to have to make an investment in some RFID/barcode technology and inventory management software.

I definitely agree. My Simpson Berkeley in Best produces a much thicker/denser lather than any other brush.

This is one reason my boar is not getting used because the Berkeley produces a nice thick lather but with the added benefit of the nice face feel of badger hair.

I have always been drawn to Rose because I remember rose petal jam from our neighbour when I was very young.

When I got into wet-shaving, I knew I wanted to try Rose products. I tried a few and the one that I have in my den is Trumpers Rose soap. It is a beautiful dry rose scent, it's pure heaven!

I have to agree with ZethLent's experience with MWF. The scent I love, I can whip up a great lather with a stiff boar, I can get just an OK shave - but the neck irritation and ingrown hairs forced me to put it away. There have been many times when I give MWF a second chance, but it doesn't work for...

I look for very soft tips, not too much backbone but not overly floppy either. I like a fan shape knot with a loft around 45-47mm. I use it to face lather by loading on a puck or straight on the face with a shave stick. I recently found my Shave brush nirvana...The New Forest High Mountain Badger br...

Out of the 3 being discussed, I have had DRH Arlington [sold it], currently have AOS Unscented and MWF. I just absolutely love MWF. Such a fantastic scent, fantastic ["out of the world"] performance and just amazing skincare qualities. It is my favourite soap out of everything! The AOS pro...

I use MWF 95% of the time. I like it with my super badger and my boar. Which brush were you using before the Semogue?

BTW You mention massaging the lather after your shave? Do you find it helps your skin "recover" better after the 3 passes?

I would mash the left over MWF bits on top of the new puck. That way, the old puck gets used up first.

Each puck lasts for 9-12 months right?

WOW 12 pucks of each is enough for a few lifetimes if you are rotating with others.

FS: Newbie setup=> perfect way to get started.

I have a full setup available for those wanting to enter the DE arena. As pictured, the package includes the following: - A Feather popular (twist to open) razor. This is around the same level as my Gillette Tech so it is not too mild and not too aggressive, perfect for a beginner. - An Omega boar b...
