July sale at Schiller's Pharmacy
I stopped by Schiller's today and learned they have a variety of items, including shaving stuff, on sale for 20% off this month. Some shelves were marked that there's a $20.00 minimum purchase for the discount on those items; that wasn't an issue for me so I didn't pursue it. You might want to call ...

I was just there and was pleased to find they carry more shaving goodies than previously. Didn't (yet :D ) get the Pre de Provence soap, but I did pick up an unlabeled almond scented shave soap that was on a nearby shelf. The location is South Aiken Ave. and Walnut Street. There's another shop (Toad...

Ed, Have you considered using Proraso products? The Pre/Post Shaving Cream is quite good for using as a pre-shave and then just lather directly on it without needing to wash it off first. That is, of course, if you can and want to use a Eucalyptus and Menthol based cream. It really seems to do an e...

A lathering experiment or two
I’ve been conducting an experiment for the past few days to try to improve my prep. Bearing in mind prep techniques others have suggested and my own experience using AOS cream without a brush, I tried the following: 1. After washing my face and holding a warm wet towel to it for a minute I apply a l...

Belated post on my return to shaving with a DE
After a long hiatus, and much preparation, I resumed shaving with a DE in March and thought it past time to post regarding my experiences. Sorry this is a bit long. While I used a DE ages ago, and continued to use a brush to lather up for years after moving away from a DE, in the last few years I’ve...

Spencer, These reactions are quite idiosyncratic. I tried a sample of Taylor's Avocado last fall and found it lathered well and I got a decent shave (with, I believe, a Sensor razor). However, I did not care for the sensation of the cream on my face and I liked it less the longer the lather was on m...

Glad I could help, Doug. I refrained from naming masks as I didn’t want to unduly influence anyone. Let me reiterate that PERHAPS EVEN MORE THAN SHAVING, YMMV WITH CPAP INTERFACES . That said, I am partial to the Respironics Profile Lite (sorry, but that’s how they spell it), one of their form-fitti...

I just saw this thread and thought I'd add my 2 cents. I've been on CPAP for about 5 years. I was lucky to adapt rather quickly. Some people find using the ramp function helpful in acclimating to the noise and pressure. White noise in the background can also help. ( edited to correct time on CPAP) [...
