I also have been treated for a condition similar to this. I can’t remember exactly what it was called but I remember the dermatologist saying I had an infection in my scalp and I needed a topical antibiotic treatment to clear it up. He prescribed a gel that gets rubbed in the scalp and left there. Y...

Shawn, thank you very much. Most intriguing. I have a pot of the Coates Rose at home that bears the same marks and has the same consistency. I was going to use it this weekend to test it out but something stopped me. I had a sneaking feeling that I should await feedback from someone else on the foru...

Jim, I am a user of both the Almond and the Lavender Harris creams and the Almond has always been a lighter consistency cream than the Lavender. Nothing to be afraid of as it always lathers well. I've not tried the Arlington but the description of how it lathers is spot on with the other Harris crea...

The almond has the lightest texture and an almost whipped appearance. UH OH!! -Dan This doesn't make me raise an eyebrow as Jim indicated that it performed as well as the Arlington. Clearly the Marlborough is a newer type of product. Whether or not it's formulation is intended state for the other c...

Well, I guess the secret's out. I've been using my BK12 to whip up lather from everything including the Woofat. If you think it works well with soaps try it with creams. Experiment a little and you'll eventually find it generates one of the finest lathers with anything. I've tried a lot of brushes a...

Re: Perhaps a Bit Late
Art of Shaving has opened a lovely establishment.. Luxury shaves by appointment. . Ron, they did? where in the mall is it? I'm going to have to stroll the length of it soon to see what has opened recently. On an almost as serious a topic, any "Steve's Prince of Steaks" makes a GREAT chees...

In 1890, Trumper's was a very modern 'company' and their formulations were then top notch. And who was buying and visiting Trumpers back then? The homo/metrosexual dandy, most gentlemen didn't use any cologne in those days. So, it's no more than logical their target audience in these days is the ur...

Andrew I have no problem with synthetic compounds. We use Mobil 1 in our high end cars. Excellent stuff isn't it? It's all I use it in my vehicles. Now back to the topic. There's nothing wrong with DS colognes they are a different sort of concoction. The quality of traditional cologes is in how the...
