I've learned the differences and nuances of each of the creams/soaps that I use and can get a great lather and great shave with any of them. There are a few minor differences in the way they moisturize or dry my skin, and though it is a very minuscule difference, I've found that the least drying, fo...

A very interesting razor. Does anyone know if it uses standard DE blades or proprietary blades that have long ago been discontinued?

I too have been wondering about Dave.

I had also considered a brush by Shavemac, Rooney or Kent, but after thinking about it, I decided I would rather give my business to Vulfix. I (and others here) have received nothing but the absolute best customer service from them, and think they have earned my business. Scott, you said the Vulfix ...

Simpson's Best or Super

I've been working a ton of overtime lately and have been seriously considering buying a new Simpson brush. I haven't been able to locate a local vendor, and haven't seen a Simpson in person, so I'm going to ask you guys about their different grades of hair. I wouldn't consider myself a "cream g...

I would also choose none of the above, but only because my tastes run much more traditional than these. I'd opt for something that looks more like this: http://www.moncoeurgifts.com/products/images/razor480w.jpg However, I wouldn't buy this particular set either because I don't use M3 razors anymore...

I'm not sure how I missed this the first time around. Once again, Mr. Watterson and his company have demonstrated outstanding customer service. How many other companies would have offered to repair a black market item at a very conservative price and then explain to the rest of us here (who really h...

I think the prison must have bought a huge number of Bic Metal razors when they were available, and they're simply working through their remaining supply. (After all, isn't the US Army still issuing Tech razors? And I think the French army still has those pull-cord rotary razors... ) :D) I once luc...

I had seriously considered buying one just for the novelty of it, but I was told they offered horrible performance at best.

Perhaps I should look into getting one of these after all.

I'm almost disappointed. Nearly 2 pages of a thread called Polish Pleasure and not a single mention of anything resembling this stuff:

Oh, I guess it is a shaving forum after all. Carry on.

I can't comment on these 2 specific brushes, but I have the Vulfix 2234 and had a 2235, both in super, which are basically the same brush, aside from size, as the 2233. Both of these brushes are very good performers with soaps and creams, and I would assume the 2233 would perform similarly. These br...

I once saw a box of rocks for sale on eBay. Not anything special, not gems or semi-precious stones nor anything that would likely interest a mineralogist; just plain old ordinary rocks.

It's amazing what one can find on eBay.

I tried to explain to my wife that "that shaving forum," as she calls it, it probably the most civilized place in my life. I spend most of my time with factory workers and US military members. This place is a haven of true gentlemen.

Thank you all.

I saw this posted on Facebook when I got home from work this morning and figured I'd share with you fellas. It's proof that the computer geeks...er, fine employees at Google have a sense of humor: Step 1.Go to Google maps. Step 2. Go to "get directions". Step 3. Type Japan as the start loc...

We've had a Whirlpool set since our oldest daughter was born in '89. The gearbox went out on the washer earlier this year (the first problem we've had with it) and it cost nearly the same to buy another washer than replace just the gearbox, so we bought a new washer. On the other hand, the dryer is ...
