Currently this: Brush: Custom Shavemac with D01 bristles Soap: M-P Aloe (I feel about this soap like some feel about MWF) Razor: Slim Adjustable or Merkur Barberpole Balm: Trumper's Limes Skin Food or Caswell & Massey Jockey Club (they say this was JFK's choice) Blades: Feather or Swedish Gillet...

Slim Adjustable codes?

I have a couple of Slim Adjustables I might want to sell. Where do I find the date codes so I can provide an accurate description?

Seeking Merkur Barberpole

It doesn't have to be new -- just in decent shape. PM me if you have one that's fallen out of your regular rotation.

Gordon, I figured I would have received some type of warning, but you never know. The "banned" screen came up literally within moments of my post. I was thinking, "I know Bernd is well-regarded around here, but they sure are protective!"

Thanks, Dr. Moss. It only happens intermittently, but the first time it did was right after I posted that I had had problems corresponding with Bernd at Shavemac via email. I really thought I might have been banned for that remark and that I was going to have to plead my case. Happily, I have had go...

I'm banned? What gives?

Obviously, since you're reading this post, I haven't been banned, but quite regularly when I come to the forums lately (a shortcut to the index page), I get a page that says I've been banned from the forum. A short while later, I can get to the forums just fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have ordered the 21mm brush with Shavemac's style 163 acrylic handle. I'll report on it after I've had a chance to use it. At this point, I can report that Bernd was very responsive to my emails and very helpful in the selection process. I don't know why our communications have broken down in the ...

Bernd responded quickly to my most recent email, recommending a 23mm knot with a 56mm loft or a 21mm knot with a 53mm loft in response to my query about lather release. Perhaps the extra loft is the key. I have emailed him back asking for ordering instructions. I am wondering if the larger knot will...

When you guys speak of flow-through, are you referring to the opposite of a lather-hog? Hogging lather has been my number one complaint with the high-end brushes that I have tried. I am a soap-using face-latherer. I like the backbone of a dense knot, but not having to work to get the lather on my fa...

I have been very disappointed with emails to Bernd. I have had several go unanswered, and if he does answer, it takes quite awhile to get a reply. Thus, while interested in getting a custom brush, I have never actually ordered one because I feel like I'm carrying on a one-sided conversation. Any tri...
