British Ever-Ready
Pella blade (day 5)
Gillette GIAC
Kiehl's moisturizer

Excellent shave.

Even after five days, the blade still seems to be doing great. No dragginess or dullness - which with the Swedish Gillette DEs was noticeable at day five.

British Ever-Ready
Pella blade
Gillette GIAC
Lucky Tiger aftershave (due to TBoner's question about it :D )

Excellent shave.

I fear I may becoming a fan of the single-edge razor.

The real test will be next week when I use it with "real" shaving soaps and creams - not goop in a can.

A vodka face-tonic?

But I want to be clear. The Lucky Tiger is a liquid, right? Not a light gel or milky sort of thing, but an honest-to-goodness liquid that is splashed from bottle to palm and palm to face and neck? I've poked around and it seems this is the case, but I want to be sure. Regards, Yes, it's an honest-t...

I do like the West Indian Limes cream. Very nice and refreshing. I just tried their Trafalgar cream, too. It performs very well but has very little scent that I can detect - maybe a really mild oceanic scent. Castle Forbes' lime cream is even "limier" in scent and very nice on a hot day. T...

Kampfe Star Sets

Here are a few I picked up over the summer: 1. A 1906 cased Kampfe set. Other than the strop needing some cleaning, it's all in very nice shape. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1702954/Razors/1906%20cased%20Kampfe%20set.jpg 2. A 1902 Kampfe Star. The box is a little beat up, otherwise it's in very good shap...

British Ever-Ready Pella blade Gillette gel D.R. Harris Arlington a/s I'm getting comfortable with the Ever-Ready and enjoying the shaves. Very close and comfortable (so far). IMHO, the Pella blades make a big difference. Compared to the Gem Blue Stars from the drug store, they're more comfortable a...

British Ever-Ready Pella blade Nivea shave gel Trumper's Limes a/s Very nice, comfortable shave today. Beginning to get the hang of the Ever-Ready single-edge shaving mojo. (Unless I just jinxed myself by saying that. ) The Gillette shave gel has a slight edge over the Nivea in terms of slick...

British Ever-Ready
Pella blade
Gillette goop in a can
Trumper's Limes a/s

Much, much better shave with the SE - no irritation at all. Once I get the angle down more comfortably, I'll break out the regular soaps/creams for the SEs.

As a recent recipient of a tub of T&H Limes from T&H, the consistency is what I expected to find: a definitely firm cream (not hard, like Castle Forbes) like the others in their line of creams in a tub. And it performed as I expected. Last year, I had received a tub of the "runny" ...

Ack! I forgot Floris Vetiver. The only vetiver I've found that I like.

Sadly, it looks like it's no longer made. (Ditto the Claus Porto vetiver body wash.)

Sad days for vetiver.

Okay, well, we can start a new thread if we need to, but for now I'll just ask here: I Profumi di Firenze Agrumi di Sicilia - I know you spoke highly of this one once upon a time as a durable citrus. I would love to get some lime that lasts. I have tried No. 74 Lime and, well, it lasts, but it's no...

Brent, are you still a fragrance junkie? I know you dropped off of Basenotes, and I can't say I blame you. Not trying to pry; I just always enjoyed your take on fragrances, and I thought perhaps you'd given up that pursuit. If not, I have some citrus frags to ask you about... Regards, Tim, Thank yo...

British Ever-Ready
Gem Blue Star blade
D.R. Harris Arlington Soap
Trumper's Limes A/S

Better shave today with the Ever-Ready. Going to research better blades, though - the Gem's just have a "whack-and-hack" feel to them that seems a little dangerous.
