Gary : Im so happy to read you here again. How is the brush making project coming along , my friend? The badger hair from Russia was also superb , as I have tried some Vie Longs with that hair and beats the current Chinese offerings Its my understanding that also the hair that Mr Lee Sabini used in ...

This is the very first time I have used a shavette to fully shave my face.

I must say , is easy and complicated at the same time , but I’m sure that is a question of practice and more practice

I enjoyed it a lot , actually , but I now miss my bea

Video : Tatara Masamune shaving razors

https://youtu.be/Ccx_0dHJXpE People ask me what's my favorite razor.Well , the Tatara Masamune is one of them , with the Carbon Shaving and a couple more. The Masamune is perfect if you have medium or soft beard with the closed comb head. The open comb is very efficient too and smooth but not as smoo...

Re: A Hairy Situation!

Looking forward to reading your impressions about the old Rooney brushes Mr Lee Sabini made some masterpieces. The DR Harris H series are a “copy” of the Duke series , at least , back at the time Now I think than the H2 is more than a Duke 3 , an H3 is between a Duke 3 and Chubby 2 (knot size , not ...

Video : Fine Accoutrements shaving soaps (Orange Noir)

https://youtu.be/tY0dfW9vtOY I find the Fine shaving soaps absolutely superb, in performance, quality of lather , its slickness and their scents. Also their scuttle is quite good for its price. And the Sandalwood after shave lotion is a must try for every wet shaver and lover of Sandalwood scents Do...

Re: A Hairy Situation!

What a superb thread ! I love the Harris H2 brush.I actually have one in super badger two band instead of best badger (3 band) and is one of my favorites. However , is my understanding that Simpson have been behind those brushes all time long , not Rooney or Mr Lee Sabini. The finest badger from Roon...

Re: boars for soaps, synthetic/badger for cream?

With the great synthetic brushes out there , I would say that synthetic for triple milled soaps , croaps , shaving sticks and creams. But badger and boar great fantastic too, specially shavemac silvertip two band and tree band badger hair brushes and Semogue 1350 and 1800 boar brushes.
