Here's a photo from the back of the box as well as a Floris No. 89 cream from the old days:

I'm happy to have one of these, unused, remaining. It still has the wax paper over the soap. There is no UPC code on the box, and I would guess it's from the early 1970's.

Hi James,

I've got a 50ml(1.7 oz.) bottle in the box that's 85% full. They sell for $80.00 on Amazon. How does $50.00 shipped sound?

They could at least apply a "new, improved" print bullet.

Any of the shave soaps made in England prior to 2000, specifically the 3 British T's, Penhaligon's, Floris, and Yardley. D R Harris have been and continue to be well formulated. Most of the American soaps prior to 1985, like Lauren, Aramis, Charbert, Houbigant Fougere Royale, and shaving soap versio...

I noticed that too. This is one of the few times that a repackaging would hopefully result in an improvement over the predecessor.

Beautiful, stunning Plisson brushes Leo. I especially like the HMW on the far left. I have a question for you. Do you notice much, if any, differences between the hair on the HMW vs. the EW, both in terms of shaving satisfaction and cosmetic interest.

Hi John,

How are things in Seattle?

It's not so noticeable on the Chubby handles, but if you look at the PJ's and the Tulips, among others, you'll see what I mean.

Simpson brush handles

The newer(post-Vulfix) Simpson brush handles seem to be generally less-favored especially by those of us who remember the Somerset brush handles.
