I contacted the Body Shop corporate HQ and have they following definition of the shaving cream scent:

"Shave cream fragrance name is "Woody Sandalwood". Description = A warm earthy smell with Patchouli oil & Cedarwood oil."[/b]

It performs great and the scent grows on you. I didn't care for the scent at first but later found myself craving it when I hadn't used it for awhile. The scent is not as complex as some of the Taylor's creams but it still smells great and it quite unique!

I can't use the Classic soaps either. My neck and face turn red and they sting and itch all day. I just shaved with D R Harris almond soap this morning and had a wonderful shave! It produces a rich creamy lather, is gentle on the skin, has a nice fragrance that doesn't smell like almond.

Todd, the Merkur blades will cost less than Personna when you take into account they last three times longer. They are Cryogenically Tempered by greatrazors.com. They guarantee they will last three times longer. They sell Cryogenically Tempered Personna blades too, if you prefer that brand.

Try a pack of pack of Merkur blades from www.greatrazors.com. They last three times longer than untreated blades, which makes the sweet spot (buttery smooth shaves) last three times longer. It also means the sharpness of a new blade lasts three times longer but it's worth it. The price is reasonable...
