I recommend the HD as well. Top notch razor, you won't be disappointed. Too many options (adjustable) give too many chances for error. I have been through the gates of hell, and passed (for the most part). DE razor - OK. Blade in the DE - not OK. Cigarette case - OK Cigarette case with lighter - only OK because it is 60 years old and the lighter doesn't work. So, take your DE through, but buy blades when you get to your destination...

Take a look at the foreign service office. They may have less demanding standards (in regards to the asthma), and you can be posted to an embassy in any number of interesting places around the world.
