I have all my slims set at 3. I worked my way up slowly to where I found the best shave with the blades and creams that I use. Get used to the razor before you start dialing up the dial. Again this is the setting that works best for me. Once you find yours set it and forget it.

I remember my Drill Sergeant put me on two-a-day for a week. That was a very painful week. One morning I forgot to shave so I told a little white lie that afternoon when he inspected the ranks. I told him that my facial hair sometimes grows faster. Guess he heard that one before...

I dip all my razors in baby oil for protection and lubrication purposes once a month. It sure makes the mechanism work very smooth.
