Very nice commentary. Within the last couple of weeks I've started using feathers as well. I really love them, but after a few days of great shaves, I get a little comfortable and go a little too quick on my chin. Sure enough, this morning took a nice little gash to the chin. These things are surgic...

but Colonial is a hit in person with Kathy. Chris, I think I'm being judicious, but that was why I was careful in how I concluded my experience. I remember reading those threads about your brush. If they ever go online, with their policies stated clearly, then I would consider buying that way as I ...

If you haven't tried it, you'll probably like the scent of Trafalgar as well. I know I do, and I get great shaves with it.

Troy, I'm sure you're right. I knew it was either Coates or Castle Forbes, and I guessed wrong.

Alright guys, here's my scoop. I was in there yesterday, great little shop. She's got a great selection of shaving stuff. I picked up some coates and some c&f. She didn't mind when I opened everyone of the coates rose tubs to check them out. I did ask about the harris milk, and right now she is ...

Thanks for the update Sam. If all goes well tomorrow, I'm leaving PA for Maine, and I plan on stopping into Colonial this week. I'm really looking forward to it now.

Myself as well. I wish there were some places that still had some vetiver. I have the citrus now and I really like this cream. Good stuff, I can't comment on the mint, but the Salter cream is good stuff.

I am a huge Kornheiser fan, so it's no question for me. In fact, after only watching for a good game now and then, I look forward now to MNF again for the broadcast as well. Based on his radios shows from the past and current(on XM if your not in the DC area) I think Tony will do great. PTI is a goo...

Nancy Boy is in San Francisco. Not sure where or what district, however a store named Nancy Boy in San Francisco... Everything I've tried from them is great, a visit might score some great freebies seeing they are generous with their orders.

Coleen, I recieved my samples today and can't wait to try them out. The smells are fantastic, and from the reviews I'm looking forward to the lather and shave. As far as the creams, the consistency of most of the highly regarded creams wouldn't work in a pump bottle. It either needs to be squirted o...

John Allan shave cream

Anyone ever used this? I was in Nordstroms today checking out the sad local availability of products and saw some of this cream. I asked about it, but the woman at the counter didn't actually work there and was filling in, so she knew nothing(at least that was established at the start). I asked abou...

Cliff or Troy or anyone else in that area. Do you know if Colonial still has any Coates creams? I'll be going up to Maine in the next week or so and plan at least one stop in the Boston area and I've been trying to get my hand on some Coates to no avail on the internet. I'd rather not call and order...

Richard, where did you get the vetiver cream. I suspect that you've had it for a little while, since it's discontinued. I use a vetiver bar soap that I love and would like to get my hands on some of the cream. Any idea who may still have some of this cream still sitting on shelves? Any knowledge as ...

Sam, an old t shirt is how we did it when I was in the military. That with a little ice cold water will get a glass shine better than any brush can get.

Trumpers Rose cream

first time I used a Swedish Gillette, very nice. I thought it was smoother than the merkurs I usually use.

Most of the drug stores have them. I have found them as Prairie and also I find them in the hand cream section. I have only seen them in small brown bottles.

Randy, I have the medium one. I can put all my stuff in it pretty easily. I like that it can hang on the shower rod and all of the compartments, that way I don't have to go searching for anything. Lacks the traditional look, but also lacks the traditional price tag as well. I really like mine.
