it's been a week now, and I'm really connecting with my Fraser's products. This isn't something new to me. I've kind of known it all along. It seems that Fraser's might be to me what Trumpers' is to (ahem) some of our fellow SMF members. It seems that Fraser's is using something in their recipes tha...

Anybody know of a source? I'd love to give Phil my business, but with shipping it's coming in at $22.45. I should have just ordered some when I got my brush...DOH! I didn't read all the way to the final post, so if I'm repeating someone else's advice, consider the source. First, I love the Cream. I...

I know Gil, it's not pretty, but it works. It feels really comfortable in my hand. As I stated earlier, I've been doing this a while, I've got other razors, and on top of that, I'm not a crybaby or complainer. This was just an isolated incident, but it has a positive ending.

Cella
Futur
Iridium
BK4
COB WH Skin Tonic
AV Frost Lime Splash

Took more time and worked the Cella in the bowl, rather than on the face. Was rewarded with as much thick and rich lather as one man can stand in one shave. Sublime 2 pass BBS result.

A post-remedy follow-up. Used the mighty Futur again this morning, with its handle snugly clad in a sheath of high-friction fabric tape. Problem solved, the solidly built shaving tool felt perfect in my hand. Onward and upward! Thanks for your support fellows.

I went to Home Depot first, and talked to 4 sales associates, very helpful and ready to serve a customer, but alas, only 1 of the 4 understood what I meant, and he only caught the drift when I told him it was what we used on our baseball bats. But I left there with a feeling that another old friend ...

I've been all over the board, and there's no saying I won't keep changing up the way I do it, depending on my mood. As of late, I've been going straight from the tub or tube or soap bar to the face. I've had some great lathers and some great shaves, but!, not so fast, I've lately been observing that...

I decided on Friction Tape. This is what we used to wrap the handles of our bats when we were playing baseball/softball. Note that the label on the tape specifies it is for wrapping the handles of tools, hockey sticks and baseball bats. Check it out! http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpic...

Futur --- a fix for the slippery handle?

This hasn't ever happened to me before, but I've been shaving with my Futur for a year now, and it has just occurred to me that the handle is slippery during a shave, even though I try to keep my hand dry. I've noticed that it is slightly uncomfortable during the shave, as my fingers are stressed as...

Our oldest daughter is now 33. When she was about 3 we were on vacation, and stayed enroute at a motel somewhere in TX. She was a tempestuous little kid, and as I was trying to help her put her shoes on, she decided to kick her foot out of my hand because I was doing it wrong, and caught me square i...

Gordon- Come to Ruidoso, NM and you can still get the full treatment including a great shave with a Henkels straight. Now that's good to know. I've enjoyed my neighboring state of NM a few times, including one of the best steak/mexican dinners ever at a little spot in Albuquerque a few years back. ...

As mentioned recently in a related post, I've just taken in two new Booster Aftershaves, Iced Lime and Polar Ice. It's been a pleasure to have used them both over the past couple of days. You get a big 14 ounce bottle with a cleverly done sprinkle-type top that puts just the right amount of product ...
