The best (safest) way to adjust the Futur while shaving is to hold the side of the head against the counter and twist the handle. However, I almost never adjust mine mid-shave.

WTT: GFT Sandalwood Soap for GFT Coconut soap

I have an extra Trumper Sandalwood Shaving Soap that I would like to trade. It has had very little use (maybe 6 times) and is in the wooden bowl. I also have the box.

I would like to trade this for a lightly used Trumper Coconut Oil Shaving Soap (with wooden bowl).

PM if interested.

I'd do both (or at least offer).

Ebay would work better for buyers if others' bids were not displayed until the auction ended. True, but since the fee that ebay charges sellers is directly proportional to the final selling price, I wouldn't look for ebay to do anything that will cut into their bottom line. Besides, sellers wouldn'...

The only way is to always bid exactly what you're willing to pay, and no less. If somebody outbids you, well, you know the razor wasn't worth it to you. If you would have paid a dollar more, then you should have bid a dollar more in the first place. It takes the fun out of bidding to do it this way...

Nice job Guido--it is a good primer for those looking to learn more about the Super Speed. Thanks for putting that together.

Did the Coronation #58 case come with the scuffs and tears? :P :P No matter a nice looking case.
Most folks here are proud of their razor collections--whether they are elaborate (such as Chris's), or a modest number of common razors. It is poor form to make fun of either.

We had a tree go down in my backyard, but fortunately, it missed my house. Still no electricity, but that is really more of an inconvenience than anything. Gasoline is still in limited supply, although that is improving daily (the lines are getting shorter).

WTT: Penhaligon's English Fern soap for Blenheim Bouquet

I have a brand new, unopened Penhaligon's English Fern soap in the wooden bowl, that I'd like to trade for a Blemheim Bouquet soap (in the wooden bowl). The BB doesn't need to be new--I am okay with one that has had just a bit of use.

PM if interested.

The only way to ensure that the label doesn't come off is to apply a very thin coat of clear fingernail polish to the label before using the brush for the first time.

Newer plasma sets are less prone to burn-in than older models. You also can't beat them for deep black reproduction. I bought a Panasonic 42" plasma a few months ago, and couldn't be happier with it.

The first two pots of shaving cream that I bought when I began DE shaving were Mr. Taylor and Shaving Shop. I liked both of them. Which one I liked better depended on which day you asked me. On the whole, I'd have to say that I probably had a slight preference for Mr. Taylor.
