I really love her Lavender cream. A very nice scent. I found that for some reason, I can get a closer shave with her creams than any others (such as the 3Ts). I've never had any discomfort with hers either. Some other creams (Nancy Boy) don't seem to provide as much protection for me. I haven't trie...

I have been very happy with one of Ansgar's scuttles. I fill it with hot water before my shower, and it retains the heat (after replacing the water) long enough for a very leisurely shave. My brush soaks in the 'spout' before lathering up in the ridged interior. My retracted Moss VLB and Vulfix trav...

Definitely get the water tested. Also, most home ion exchange softening systems I've seen do NOT have what is called a blend/bypass valve. This is something ALL municipal versions have. Blending some raw water into the soft water cuts down on unnecessary salt consumption and is also easier on any me...

Umm, you can actually carbonate it by shaking it cold at dispensing pressure. It just takes longer that way. Kegging is the way to go for homebrew. Dealing with all those bottles sucks. All you need is a kegging setup and a counterflow bottler and you're set.

IIRC, Will G originally scaled back due to some serious knee surgery that revealed other, more serious problems. I still have a half bottle of his Blend #7 aftershave balm that is marvelous stuff, scentwise. I'd use it more often if I could get more to replace it.

You can't beat this meat.

I've eaten a lot of different cuts of meat as grilled steaks, but one shines above all the others. I'm talking about the 'flat iron steak'. This cut was supposedly discovered at a Nebraska university. There are two to a critter, so it is not a common cut. It looks a bit like a flank steak, but is wa...

The best pipe to start with is a Missouri Meerschaum cob pipe. I prefer the Pride, but have some other models as well. For the rest, I have an assortment of briars (Boswells are a good value) and some meers. The best smoking meers of the bunch are the IMP pipes I bought from meerfan . Just remember:...

I used to have a classic handlebar, a la Catfish Hunter, back in the early 80's. I gave up on it due to the high maintenance to keep it's shape. Pinaud was all that was available locally at the time, and it frequently lost the battle with my facial fur.

I feel your pain. My company (huge multinational) has the same type of policy. I've talked with I.T., and there is no chance that they will ma...

I love mine, and it's fairly heavy due to the first generation metal internals. It's a decadently large brush fully extended, but dense enough to almost drill through soap when it's completely retracted (really cold water seems to encourage that  ).
