It must be nice to have a place where you can go and see before buying!

Okay, I'll bite. Why are you guys weighjinbg razors? Buzz I can only speak for myself. In my case to get an idea of what a different razor will feel like in my hand. It was of more interest to me when I was learning with a GEM Featherweight and a Gillette Black Handle. It's of less importance now, ...

Yes, menthol crystals are pure menthol. You might be surprised at how little menthol will give a substantial menthol effect.

Pauldog, Ted Pella doesn't market them as SE blades for shaving. He sells medical/lab blades and lab specimens don't complain. We find they are great for shaving, but he never mentions that. He sells other SE blades but the ones I mentioned are the shaving blades since they are the sharpest and coat...

I recently gave my wife a Weishi and she was very happy with it. She was used to using cartridges and when she first tried the Weishi she said that she thought it wasn't working----truth was that it was sharp and not pulling like her old disposable . I gave my wife a gently used Lady Gillette month...

FWIW, not all of us demand boutique shave soaps/creams. Sure, I'd like to get $25 soap performance from a $1.25 stick of Arko, but everyone knows that isn't going to happen. There's a reason it sells for $1.25. I haven't a clue how Arko can ship over here and sell for as little as it does in bulk. I...

Sunday AM: Kiss My Face mint Handcrafted badger brush Slim set to 9 Super Iridium (7 and canned) Bay Rum From the first shave to the 7th, this blade has been a very good performer. I ran into a few mentions that it has been discontinued, so last night I checked. What a loss for the shaving community...

And conversely Stalin was only slightly to the right of Hitler. John P. Correct! Both are to the extreme left! I find it amazing how many folks think Hitler and National Socialism was a right wing political system. Lack of critical thinking, or mindless automatons repeating something they heard or ...

Excellent! I'm glad you liked it. Did you use the Walgreens blade? I'm pretty sure it's a GEM SS blade, don't know if it's coated though. If I'm wrong I hope someone corrects me so that I don't lead you astray with what follows. If you like the shave and decide to use it often, there are 2 outfits t...

Would single edge razors qualify? I don't see many folks on the forum who use them. Or am I just myopic? Are they there and I simply don't see them? Me? I love the things. The sound, the shave, the comfort. And I use some of the least expensive soaps/creams on the planet. Not all of my soaps/creams ...
