I was facinated with pocket-change coins when I was a kid. I liked to study the different sizes, designs, etc. I would hoard, count, and imagine what I could buy if I saved more. Now I just toss them in a can as soon as I get home. I pay everything with a plastic charge card whenever possible so tha...

I drove by his house on business several years ago. As I recall, it is in a gated subdivision. I had a pass from the entrance guard, but I still got the "stink eye" from some of the neighbors.

Mostly I just grab the one that looks like it would be fun. I get bored using the same razor repeatedly just to see how long the edge will last. Some times I will select two and use them alternately as if they are competing so it will be less boring. Maybe a lot of the hone wear on worn out vintage ...

(marrying Adam and Eve) I am the sky, says the Hindu bridegroom to the bride. You are the earth. We are sky and earth united.... You are my husband. You are my wife. My feet shall run because of you. My feet shall dance because of you. My heart shall beat because of you. My eyes see because of you. ...

(reading Adam's mom's suicide note) Dearest boy, my Adam. I dreamed a dream, you and I facing each other in a tiny yellow boat on green water under a blue sky. Me and my son and a yellow boat. And we laugh, and the boat rocks and the ripples spread from the boat to pond to sea to sky and nothing can...

I'm getting it now. I don't need one for every razor, but a nice leather pouch really sets off the special ones. I have a few of the TI pouches. They are nice, but maybe you could find one without the TI name on the flap.

I remember VGOD. Too bad he had to leave the forums.

Finally after 2 years this old thread has photos.

The full blade width is 15/16ths so it's big. I think I'll call her "The Black Witch"

Thanks. At least they are pinned, they're tight, and they close centered. Also, the pins, modest as they are, look better than the originals.

Both razors are user grade. Bought for $20 to $30, cleaned, and sharpened. No buffing or custom scales.

Pinning Exercise

Took the Dovo ebony scales off the Marke Solingen and put them on a big 6/8 Case Temperite with pins (not hex fasteners). The Marke Solingen got a set of scales from a vintage rust bomb from the bay that I won for $5. http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/14358/IMG_1908.jpg http://www.s...
