I'm a man so I shave like a man. I rub a brush made with the hair of a dead animal, on some soap which contains more dead animal and then rub the soap on my face. I shave my whiskers off . . . with blades that could take a finger off if not handled with care, rinse, splash my face with alcohol which...

Hello Doug. Looks like you're off to a flying start and with a senior RKC Instructor so close you'll be making fantastic progress in no time. I understand what you mean about having time to train. Isn't it weird that we've spent years and ££££ developing things to save us time yet we seem to have ev...

Good work Doug.

I stumbled across this thread after searching *gym* to see if there were any other kettlebellers or grip-trainers on here.

I'll be interested in any progress reports.

Friday:

No shave today!

This is the first time in about three months that I've not shaved.

The Commanding Officer (SWMBO) keeps telling me how rugged and manly I used to look with a goatee, and as she's the Boss . . .

Oh yes. A different type of blade each month for the next two years (assuming I only get 3 shaves per blade).

However, with my "Keep It Simple, Stupid" outlook I very well might end up giving most of them away and stick exclusively with Derby.

I've got a sample pack of 250 to work through but have just bought 300 Derby blades at a price which was too good to refuse.

I now have enough blades to last me at least 7 years so that's one less thing to worry about.

I tried Kent soap, which is (I believe) MWF under a different name. I didn't actually 'get' it, to be honest. It didn't lather well and the scent was just 'soapy' . . . like the sort of cheap soap we had at junior school. It went in the bin after a month or so. I think I'm susposed to put something ...

SOLD: Gillette Slim Adjustable

Gillette Slim Adjustable. The paint has come off the numbers and it could do with a tidy up here and there but all in all a very nice razor. I've tried it on #9 with a feather and lived to tell the tale. I'm sticking with the Merkur HD for now so this isn't being used. Bargain price - £10 which incl...
