Rob, I am totally satisfied, and you have been a true gentlemen about this. I am disappointed in this bottle and don't plan to use it, but I hate to throw it away. It is a little dark, watery and does not lubricate like the Trumper's Limes I am used to, but it has some scent and lubrication. It's no...

What's the grit of those stones, and did you replace the scales yourself? How much did it cost you?

Dr. Moss, I've also decided to take the plunge, having ordered a trio of NOS Wapienicas, which are being detoured to a honer from SRP. I wondered if you were familiar with these razors and if they might be appropriate for a beginner.

Muhle-Pinsel Oakmoss and Mint

I am totally new to wet shaving. My wife gave me a Muhle-Pinsel shaving set, which included their soap with aloe. The fragrance is oakmoss and mint, which I really like. Is there an aftershave of similar fragrance (M-P doesn't make one)?

I had pretty good success this morning generating a thick lather. I put the bar back in its original jar and loaded my brush from the jar. I then created a fairly thick foam in the bowl (adding just a few sprinkles of water). I used the brush on my face to thicken things up even more and finished wi...

Thanks for the answers. I'll try building up the lather on my face instead of in the bowl and see how that works.

Noob questions

My wife bought me a Muhle-Pinsel shaving set with a bar of Muhle-Pinsel shaving soap for our anniversary. I can work up a pretty good lather, but I've got a few questions. Do I keep the soap in the bowl and work it with the brush each time I shave? Do I soak the soap prior to use? Should I try to ri...
