I have been using another brush for quite some time now, so no sense leaving this one to just lie about.
It is in excellent shape. Call it 8.5 out of 10. The lettering on both sides is under a cover of clear nail polish: THE "DUKE" on one side and 3 BEST BADGER SIMPSON on the other. I guess maybe there was a sticker originally, but that came off almost immediately and it's loss probably was the impetus for putting on the nail polish. I used it maybe a year or two.
Comes with the original box, properly labeled for the brush.
I'm not sure about the market value, but I'll sell it shipped (Continental US) for $110. I can't snap any pics these days, but I'll return your money upon receipt of the brush back from you if you are not satisfied.

Shedding
I've gotten a couple of questions about shedding. Honestly, it has been so long since I used it and I've had so many brushes that I don't remember if it did any shedding or not.
If you buy, try it for a couple weeks and return it if there is a problem. Thx.
