ok, i've had this brush custom made with a flat knot but it's not working for me it bloomed more than what i was hoping and for me the 48mm handle is too small for my large hands. the good thing is that its been used 5 times and is lathering like a shavemac should. i guess i would say it compares to a bk4 but has a really great handle and slightly more density. if you don't like the knot you can always put a golden nib knot on it. so,,,i'm going to offer it at $70.00, the retail i paid was $95. shipped conus. pm for paypal. has original box

WOW, that did really bloom out. I was thinking of getting a 22 mm knot with the D01 bristle. This makes me think twice. . .

i think the bloom was the result of the flat knot and as gordon said, thin hair.
