FS/FT: Hones/Coticule, M&F Relist, Straights, DE starter

Post by TRBeck »

I have several items to offer here. I would prefer to sell, but would consider trades. See bottom of post.
Prices include CONUS shipping. Will ship elsewhere at cost.

Up first is a DE starter kit, perfect for someone getting into this or for travel items. List of items included follows pic (the little orange-lidded tub in the top left corner of the pic snuck in there but is not included) - $43 - reduced to $35 SOLD

Omega 10049 boar NIB
Lord Racer DE w/blade
6 packs of DE blades, including a NOS pack of Iridiums
Unused bottle of Booster June Clover a/s splash
Unused tub of Vintage Shaving Trad Cream
Used 1x puck of L'Occitane Cade soap
NIB puck of Williams soap
1 oz. travel size Nancy Boy "Butch" body spray (tobacco, spices, woods)
Unused tube Real Shaving Co. Sensitive cream
Plastic wall-mount holder for DE

Up next are some hones. All except Swaty are unused. Descriptions of individual hones follow pic. Never sold hones, so let me know if these are overpriced.

Belgian Coticule/Natural Combo Stone 50mmx150mm - never used - in wooden box; comes with two cotigura slurry stones - $150**SOLD**

Franz Swaty barber hone - two tiny fleabites (see closeup) on edges that don't affect honing - $25**SOLD**
http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displ ... geid=30782
DMT D8C - perfect for lapping stones, I'm told. Has been opened and then sat in a drawer for two years - $40**SOLD**
DMT fine hone - NIB - $50- reduced to $40

Next are some straights. I have priced these based on what I paid. Razors on the left were bought by me as shave-ready and have been used 10x or less each. Razors on the right will need some assistance to be shave-ready. Again, let me know if I'm embarrassing myself with prices.

Left, top to bottom:
Joseph Allen & Sons 6/8" w/barber's notch - $57 - reduced to $51 - Blade is etched "Lather Well, You'll Shave Better" - I have used this for one shave and it was bought as shave-ready
H.M. Christensen 5/8" - $30**SOLD**
Wapi 5/8" - $20**SOLD**
Clauss 6/8" Spike Point - $72(I am the third owner and only the second person to use it; has been used for probably <20 shaves total in its lifetime; you can see the tiny spots on the handle; there is one tiny pit not visible in pic on the blade that was there when I bought it)

Right, top to bottom:
Imperial Razor 5/8" square point - $30 - reduced to $25
Wapi 4/8" - $16 SOLD
Joseph Elliott 7/8" w/barber's notch - $60**SOLD**

Finally, I am relisting this UNUSED Morris & Forndran Emillion. 24mm/51mm knot/loft, blonde badger, faux ivory handle.
I paid $130.
Last listed it here at $88.
Listing it now for $84.**SOLD**
I won't go lower.

I would entertain trades for the following items, as long as we can work out roughly equal value or cash to make up the difference:
- Martin de Candre soap in glass jar
- Taylor of Old Bond St. Lavender Water
- Muhle R41 2011 version
- Semogue 2010 LE silvertip (will trade a good bit of value for this)

PM with interest.

I have lowered prices further.

If I may engage in a bit of shameless hucksterism regarding the starter kit, the Lord DE is a very good shaver, lightweight but made up for by a slightly aggressive blade gap. I get incredible shaves with mine when I travel, and it could easily be a go-to razor. Also, the soaps and creams in that set-up are worth more than the asking price even without the other items.

Okay, down to the Joseph Allen, the Imperial, and the Clauss.

$45, $20, and $65, respectively, or all 3 for $120, and if you buy all 3 I'll include large 1.5mL samples of 4 Acqua di Parma Colonia variants (the original, the Intensa, the Assoluta, and the Essenza) plus brand new samples of Penhaligon's Douro and Endymion.
