WTB: Brush Scuttle

Post by bennay » Fri Mar 02, 2012 11:03 am

I'm looking for a brush scuttle for when I face lather. As I'm in Canada, I'm having a bit of a hard time finding stuff. If you guys have anything or suggestions I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers!

The large Moss Scuttle from Sara Bonneyman is a good option - and made in Canada to boot.

Or - a Georgetown Pottery scuttle -- very big bowl with ridges on the bottom which is supposed to encourage brush lathering. They will also do custom designs on the outside --- for a small additional fee.

I did look into the Moss Scuttle - however being on completely different sides of the country, with shipping the cheapest one would be around $100.

Really I'm just looking to try to keep my brush warm when face lathering so would consider any bowl or mug that would let me do that. I'm having a hard time finding something around the house that works... EDIT something that floats that isn't TOO big basically.

Try http://www.dirtybirdpottery.com/shavinggear.html

They have two piece brush scuttles that are used for face lathering.

Also, look at her new one piece brush scuttle. A nice piece and reasonably priced.

Value Village is a good place to look for something that resembles a brush scuttle.

I also thought of Dollarama, you'd be surprised what you can find in there.
