WTB 16mm Knot

Post by MaxP »

All,

I picked up a small Century nylon bristle brush. The knot measures 17.2.

I'm looking for a 16mm knot to put in it after I remove the nylon.

If you've got one to sell or trade please send me a PM.

Thank you.

nice... I too prefer small knots, my fav 2 brushes are both 16mm. Try Whipped Dog, as of last week they had the black badger in 16mm but out of the silvertip.

What do you intend to set the loft at? My fav brush is 16/35mm.

Thank you for the loft suggestion. I'll make a determination after I get the nylon out and have the new knot.

just to clarify...

my 16/35mm in best has a slight scritch which I like.
The 16/42 in 2 band is totally different, pillowy soft. I much
prefer the former but then again only got to use the latter about 3 times
so maybe not used to it yet. FWIW, I only face lather and it works
great w/ both cream and soap.

So I've located a 16 mm Finest knot. I'll be mounting it next week.

Seems like 38 to 42 is the range in which I'll experiment. I've been using a clear waterproof adhesive that holds the knot tight for testing, but with a firm twist lets go so that I can make adjustments.

Thank you for your help.
