SOLD: Very Rare Rooney Polo 2 Finest Brush

Post by churchilllafemme »

Many of you know that Rooney Finest brushes are prized as perhaps the best and most iconic shaving brushes ever made. The have a rare badger hair that was only available for a short time, and just a few of the brushes were made. The knots are very densely packed with the 2-band hair that has very long white tips. They have firm backbone and soft hair tips with just a touch of desirable "scritch." Finests are seldom offered for sale, and this Polo 2 is one of the very rarest of them. You most likely will never see one like this offered again.

This vintage brush has been lightly used and is in near mint condition, with moderate bloom. It has not shed at all. The knot has a 28mm diameter and a 60mm loft. The handle, 67.5mm in height, has very clear lettering and no flaws or damage. This brush will be the true centerpiece of any fine shaving brush collection.

Comes with original box. $750 shipped CONUS. SOLD

Thank you. The buyer lives overseas, and I don't think he is a member here.

Why would someone pay that much for a brush? Is it made of the hairs from the head of Aphrodite?
