Gillette Razors from a local antique shop. Any Interest?

Post by JBahn »

Found a few Razors at the local antique shop today.

I dont know much about the old Gillettes so I would appreciate any insight. I know the one in the box is a Gold Tech but that is about it. In the pictures one of them, which I believe to be an Aristocrat, looks as if the handle is black. In reality the entire razor is gold.

If anyone has any interest in purchasing one please let me know and I am sure we can make a deal. I would be interested in trades as well.

Thanks for any insight Gentlemen

Sorry guys,...I was trying to get the point across that I had no idea what they were worth. Wanted it to be more of a "make an offer" kind of deal. The only one I have left is the gold comb gillette. First 12 dollars will have it shipped to their door.

Sorry for being so vague on pricing.

Both the Gold Tech and SuperSpeed are back on the sale block.

12 - each or 20 for both. Shipping will be roughly 4.00 dollars to canada and US.

James, I am getting worried that my PMs still appear to be stuck in my Outbox. Can you post here to let me know if you got them or not?

Summary of the stuck PMs are: PM #1, confirmation of Paypal funds sent for SS; PM #2, my shipping address.

If you have not received either, please let me know and I will post my email address here so we can coordinate that way.

Thanks!

I think PMs remain in your outbox until the recipient logs in; then they're delivered.

By the way -- that open-comb brass Gillette is a 1930s era "Gillette New." It's a nice shaver, and especially good for beginners, IMO.

Dave,
PM's remain in your outbox until retrieved by the recipient.

I always wondered about why they remain in outbox for so long.

Yes dave I did recieve them and I will ship the razor to you first thing in the morning.

DEF - thanks for the info on that razor I had no idea what I had with that one. I wanted to try an open comb however I am waiting for a merkur HD comb to come in. Im hoping that one will do well for me.

Certainly not ;-) It looks like New Improved from 20s and according to a few posts here it's not a good shaver as the blade rests on the comb without a gap as NEW has
